Chessington’s green belt is under threat like never before. With plans for a new town of 2,500 homes at ‘Hook Park’ on Clayton Road and yet another threat to Chessington Golf Course we need a council and councillors to stand up to the developers.
Sadly local Lib Dem councillors have not listened to local people and have said ‘yes’ to development – at Leatherhead Road and most recently York Way. How can we trust them to stand up for local people and protect our precious green belt?
We call on Kington Council to oppose plans to build on our green belt. Housing development must be sustainable and decided in consultation with local residents.
